Volunteer and Scholarships Opportunities

Our goal is to make a high quality conference accessible to everyone interested in Python, especially those from under-represented groups. We hope that in doing so, we can develop future thought leaders with diverse background and perspectives that will use their talents to benefit others!

We have been able to achieve that in past PyBays because of skilled volunteers wanting to contribute back to the community. At the same time, we've learned that some volunteer because they want to give back, some do so because they want a reduced registration fee, and some folks are looking for a complimentary pass. To support everyone's desires, this page details how you can help and how you can apply for full and partial scholarships to attend.

Hello Diversity

Benefits and Expectations:

Aside from the great feelings that come from being of service and the bonding with like minded people, every volunteer will be invited to a speaker and crew reception on Friday 8/16 6-9p and receive a conference T-shirt. In return, we ask that you do your best to follow through, adhere to the conference' code of conduct, and be friendly and helpful to all.
