Diversity and Inclusion

The diversity and inclusiveness of the Python community is one aspect of Python that makes it one of the most popular programming languages. With the help of sponsors and individuals interested in supporting diversity and inclusion, 115 developers of diverse backgrounds were able to attend the last three PyBays. We invite you to help spread the word of our diversity and inclusion outreach so that more people can participate!

Our Diversity and Inclusion Mission

Many of us have benefited from Python and the incredible community behind it. Our goal is to pay it forward by offering an amazing conference to everyone interested in Python, especially those from under-represented groups. We hope that in doing so, we can develop future thought leaders with diverse background and perspectives that will use their talents to benefit others.

For 2019, we've lined up 60+ amazing speakers (~33% from under-represented groups) who can dive deep and advance your skills and knowledge. We've added fun ways for you to meet, mingle and develop deeper connections with each other. Now, we'd like to make this incredible learning and networking opportunity accessible to as many people as possible, and we'd like your help to raise $20,000+ to offer Diversity and Inclusion scholarships and financial aid to those that want to attend.
